I registered some. I went through some leading domain registration service providers and check who provides cheapest .co domain registration.

Namecheap turned out to be the cheapest.

Godaddy charges $30, Register.com charges $40 for .co registration.

But Namecheap charges only $22 which makes it cheapest .co domain registrar.
